Came in for inspection based on other google reviews and was very satisfied with the service. From the moment I pulled up I was immediately greeted and directed to the lobby to wait. The inspection was very quick like about 10 minutes! And the price wasn’t bad either! I’ll definitely be back!

Let's be honest, we all took our vehicles here because we know Sunset Auto Inspections have passed vehicles for years with no questions asked. You don't even need your registration! I live in the neighborhood and have recommended many people to visit there. Apparently they are under new management and are finding the smallest reasons to fail your inspection like windshield wipers so they can sell them to you. They went from shady to shadier. Literally been coming here for years and never again. If you are looking for a shop to just pass you, this one ain't it!

I had a very frustrating experience at this shop on Saturday, April 25, 2026. While I was in the waiting room around 10:45 AM, I witnessed a mechanic named Jess pull aside another customer (who owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee). Jess told him his brakes needed to be bled and explained that he was stopping the inspection specifically so the customer wouldn't have to pay for a failed test. Unfortunately, I was not extended that same courtesy. My vehicle was failed for tires, and I was told I had to pay the full price for the failed inspection, then return later and pay an additional $6.25 to update my status to "pass" once the tires were replaced. When I returned with the new tires and asked Jess why I wasn’t given the same option to address the issue before paying for a failure, the way the Jeep owner was, he shifted the responsibility to his manager, Mike (whom he described as a "big black guy"). It is completely unjust and inconsistent. When I pointed out the double standard, Jess admitted that he hadn't followed protocol with the other customer and that he technically should have failed them as well. However, because he chose to give that person "grace" and not me, I was locked int
